Let Export Order
A Let Export Order is the formal Indian customs clearance confirming that an export consignment has passed all checks and may leave the country. Once the LEO date is granted by ICEGATE, the cargo is free to move to the port or airport and be loaded onto the vessel or aircraft. It is the final customs gate in the Indian export process.
Why the LEO Date Matters
Without the LEO, cargo cannot be loaded. Delays in obtaining a LEO, caused by documentation errors, duty disputes, or customs examination, hold up vessel loading and can result in missed sailings. Forwarders track the LEO date closely on every Indian export shipment and coordinate with customs brokers to resolve any issues before the cargo cutoff.
How CargoGen Handles It
The Let Export Order is granted by Indian customs to your broker's filing. CargoGen's customs entry tracks clearance status for any country, and configurable reference fields let an Indian export carry the LEO date on the shipment record so the office knows the cargo is free to load.
